It’s the season when Floridians search for places to cool off as well as staycations close to home. Please enjoy our new resort guide for where to head next throughout the U.S., from New England and New York, to the mountains of Wyoming and North Carolina, to an exciting, wellness-focused addition in our own backyard. Have a great trip.

Maine

Experience tranquil, coastal life at The Dunes on The Waterfront in Ogunquit. Renovated cottages with one, two and three bedrooms feature fireplaces and private outdoor areas. Named for Portland’s 19th-century, native poet, the 48-room Longfellow Hotel opened in the city’s hip West End. Onsite highlights include Astraea spa, Twinflower Café for jamon tortas, and Five of Clubs for charcuterie and caviar service.

Jackson, Wyoming

Ask the staff how The Rusty Parrot Lodge earned its quirky name, especially considering the western locale. The family-owned property, which reopens in July following a fire, has been enlarged to 40 rooms and suites with European touches, plus the bigger Body Sage Spa. Though guests are a stone’s throw from Jackson’s Town Square, they can dine in at Wild Sage Restaurant & Bar.

Reserve The Chatwal Lodge’s new treehouses featuring modern mountain design and decks with fire pits.
